The sunset is not the only fire burning
In the distant, majestic West.
Even though I’m far beyond its reach,
The flames are billowing in my chest.
And though I’m not at home,
Staring this chaos in the face,
I feel as though I am in grave peril,
I do no know my place.
The fire rages on
And scatters my family askew.
Prometheus has returned again,
To present us something new.
So I call upon those high above,
The beings who make it so,
Take the uncertainty and pain away,
And stop the winds that blow.
Open up the heavens,
Give guidance to those gone astray.
For the only words of comfort I carry:
I think its going to rain today.

eros is bullshit: a poem
the theory that people
are always searching for
their other half is
bullshit.
don’t let anyone, not
even a god, tell you
you are anything less
than whole.

‘Cause people seem to only post the 20-something Audrey Hepburn
this is genuinely the first photo i’ve seen of her looking older
I didn’t know Audrey Hepburn grew old into a bomb-ass old lady until like, last year. I thought she died young cuz that’s the only pictures I’ve ever seen.
omg

she was also the granddaughter of a baron, the daughter of a nazi sympathizer, spent her teens doing ballet to secretly raise money for the dutch resistance against the nazis, and spent her post-film career as a goodwill ambassador of UNICEF, winning the presidential medal of freedom for her efforts.
and history remembers her as pretty.
